xp & vista compatability

ok here goes.....this is my first posting. I have a desktop running win xp home, my wife has a laptop running the same, I set the network up so she could use the printer over the network, well, my wife's getting a new laptop that will have vista on it, will it still be possible for her to print from her laptop over our network or will I have to get vista on the desktop. I know a little about computing, but I'm not up to 'geek' status yet.....hehe.

You don't need to get Vista for the desktop, it should work fine in most cases.
