xp - Vista

Hi,

I orginally had Vista on my laptop. I had some problems with my computer so had to take it in to be fixed. The guy said he couldnt reinstall my vista so he's installed xp. I'm hating it and even though i've heard so many bad things about Vista i want it back.

Can i get rid of x/p an dinstall my vista again?? If so could you explain how please??

Contact the OEM that made your laptop, and tell them that you lost the disks. Even better, take it back to the guy that supposedly fixed it, and demand that he reinstall the OEM Vista that came on it. If not, contact the local courts to file a Small Claims against the guy that did not fix it as originally requested.

I do still have my disc for Vista that I got from Dell, but do i just put it in or do I have to uninstall XP? If so, how do i do that??

The guy who fixed it said there was some kind of problem and Vista could not be reinstalled as it kept freezing when he was trying to, but I dont understand why when it was originally on there. Though when i did a system restore, to try and sort it myself I noticed I can only go back to the date that they guy fixed it not the date i bought it, so I dont know if that has something to do with it??

 

I'm not sure if this the correct place to post but her is my question and hopefully I'll get some direction where to post or answers.

I have XP64 SP2 and its been installed for 3 years and it behaves oddly
and I have to repair my wifi connection at least twice a day and it will not do anything when i click something when nothing else is running, anyway I got Vista64 and was wondering if i need to do a fresh install or upgrade?
please advise me
