I've recently had trouble shutting down Windows XP: When I select Restart, or Shut Down I get a pop-up that states that "XPCOM:Event Viewer" is hanging. -Anyone know what's up with that?
-I surf with Firefox, and I've recently installed Ubuntu (dual-booting) -but the problem seems to be happening ONLY in Windows (when I Restart).
    -Any Ideas?
    -Thanks for your time.

Have you updates Firefox as I believe its linked to FF, as Cross Platform Component Object Model is a Mozilla project application, and I would suspect is causing a conflict with a add-on?

The Firefox specialists here should be able to shed more light on this than me.

but did read this at Secunia http://secunia.com/secunia_research/2006-53/advisory/
