Is there any way to change how XP names multiple files when you do an F2 rename? (Or "right clicking, Rename" multiple files, for that matter.) For example if I highlighted several files:

    summervacation96
    summervacation97
    summervacation98
    summervacation99

and chose to rename them to "summervacation0"

    then I'd end up with:

    summervacation0 (1)
    summervacation0 (2)
    summervacation0 (3)
    summervacation0 (4)

My question is, is there any way to edit the registry or anything else to change what it appends onto multipe files? So instead appending ***(#) to each file, it might change it to ***1 so you'd end up with:

    summervacation01
    summervacation02
    summervacation03
    summervacation04

So, any way to do this?

Ahh ok, thanks sushi, I wasn't aware there were such apps. I'll give it a shot. :)
