Hi, I wonder if anyone can help?

I have a HP Pavilion with a MMKBD.exe type keyboard i.e. it has redirect buttons which you can configure in Control Panel under keyboard settings. The problem is that something has hijacked this and continually redirects the button to any one of a few Yahoo sites. mainly their search web page. It is very annoying as it seems to do this at random interupting whatever you're typing at the time to throw up a new web page for Yahoo search. You can change the settings back to default in Control panel easily BUT it merely takes over again the next time you hit a certain key or a sequence of keys. I've tried Spybot, Webroot antivirus with antispyware, McAfee security centre and the free AVG anti virus

I've attached my Hijackthislog for reference...please help if you can. Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Your problems may not have anything to do with malware. To find out for sure, please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions. Make sure that you disable Spybot's Teatimer as requested and also uninstall all but one antivirus programs since you have AVG, McAfee, and WebRoot installed.

    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
    Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run theREAD & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can running steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
