Yahoo mail issues

I am running Trend Micro all the time and have also done numerous online scanners including kaspersky. I have also run malwarebyte. All come up clean. Something is STILL going into my Yahoo mail address book and trying to send out something without my approval. Looks to be a virus since it is an executable. Nothing wrong with my Outlook mail however. Any ideas are welcome.

Not much you can do other than remove everything in the account. Or create a new one.

Malware detected in email databases has to be cleaned up by you. You have a few choices:

1. delete the whole file which is not an option you normally want to use
2. load the email folder that contains the infection and delete ALL unnecessary emails (hoping to remove the problem email) and then use the Mailbox Cleanup option to delete all old emails. Then compact the Outlook database to permanently remove data. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/196990 If you do not cleanup and compact the databases, the deleted emails may still be leaving hidden information in the database that you just cannot see but a scanner may still pickup on it.
3. create a new folder and move only emails you really need into the new folder and then delete the infected folder.

well this mentions Outlook. That is running perfectly. This is an issue with Yahoo. Are you saying I should delete my messages? I can certainly do that. Would it help to delete the names from my contacts? If so how do I accomplish that? I know I can cut and paste them out to a file so at least that was easy.

That was just a general statement about email infections. They really can only be deal with by you. I would suggest that you do remove all the emails in your accounts. It would also be a good idea to remove all your contacts. I don't use Yahoo because of this exact issue. So you should post in the software forum for advice as to how to deal with cleaning out your yahoo account.
