yahoo mail

i didnt really know where else to put this, couldnt find an internet related area anywhere...

anyway, i have a feeling that my email account was hacked (a game account in the top 100 out of 50,000+ was deleted today, it was mine, and the only records of it i had were in my mail) and the mail user it was transfered to was koc_hax_team@yahoo.com

any info on how i could possibly contact yahoo legal about this (the game account in question could possibly be worth 50-100$, so there was some worth behind this.

any help would be great!

 

I don't know much about the yahoo authentication protocal but it seems likely that the 'hackers' used something known as a dictionary attack or a brute force attack. Did you have an easily guessable password such as "password" or "asdfjkl;"? Once you get this sorted out, you might think about using a more complex password, for instance: wN^uj]fdj%.
