    I have looked for this problem on the board and couldn't find anything so I am not sure if anyone can help me out or not.
    When you are signed into Yahoo Messenger and you get an email in your Yahoo account the little white envelope icon is in the system tray and I used to be able to click on that and it would automatically take me to my Yahoo Mail Account. It no longer does that and yes I have it checked to automatically sign me in when I click a yahoo link in messenger. I also get the pop up when I try to click on the white envelope that says "Do you want to be signed in automatically when you click a Yahoo! link in Messenger?" and I click yes but it still won't take me to my Yahoo Account. Any suggestions and am I the only one having this problem? There is nothing in Yahoo help for this ..
    Yahoo Messenger Version 6
    OS = WinXP Home SP2
    Browser = Firefox version 1.0
    Thanks,

    aLLiKZar It's not too late to back out!

    I would try reloading it. I have had that problem before and reloading it reset the settings.

    Oops I forgot to mention that I have uninstalled and reinstalled it already and that didn't help.
    I have been having this problem for like maybe 2 weeks and a month ago I switched from cable ISP to dsl ISP so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.
    Thanks..

    :(
    Lets try this again to see if I can get any help here as I posted on 12/20 regarding my problem and the only thing I got was a suggestion to uninstall and reinstall my Yahoo Messenger (which I did prior to posting on 12/20)/
    I have also posted in spyware forum regarding this problem to rule out possible spyware and Chaslang has helped me to determine that it isn't spyware and suggested I post here in the Software forum (I did that on 12/20 and only got a suggestion to uninstall Yahoo messenger which I had already done).
    I am still having my problem of not being able to be automatically signed in to my Yahoo Mail account when I click on the little white envelope in my sys tray. Yes I have uninstalled and reinstalled yahoo messenger and that didn't help resolve the problem. Yes I have the box checked to be automatically signed in when clicking a Yahoo Link. I even get the pop up when I click on the white envelope asking me if I want to be automatically signed in when I click a Yahoo! Link and I click yes but it doesnt' go anywhere the white envelope disappears but I still am not signed into Yahoo Mail to view my email that I had just received notice of.
    The problem started happening around the same time I switched from Cable ISP to DSL ISP my DSL provider is SBC Yahoo! (my local phone company). I switched mid November and by the end of November I noticed that I no longer was taken to my Yahoo Mail when I clicked the white envelope in the sys tray. I have even uninstalled the SBC and reinstalled it to no avail.
    I will call SBC about this problem but I wanted to post here first to see if anyone had the same type of problem or a suggestion as I have a feeling that when I call SBC its going to be a major hassle trying to get them to understand what exactly is happening.
    Please note that I now have 3 browsers (IE, SBC Yahoo!, & Mozilla Firefox) I mainly use my Mozilla Firefox but regardless of which 1 of the 3 Browsers I am using I can no longer be signed in automatically to my Yahoo Mail account when I click on the little white envelope in the system tray after I have been notified that I have received an email in my Yahoo Mail Account.
    I was wondering if I am the only one having this problem or if someone knows how to fix this problem?? Again I have also searched for this problem on Yahoo! help and that was useless as I could not find anything regarding the problem I am having.
    thanks & Happy New Year

    I just wanted to update people on my Yahoo Messenger problem.
    I did contact SBC (my ISP) they told me that I needed to contact Yahoo as it was a Yahoo product and they did not have the tools to help me with a product other then SBC. So, I did contact Yahoo and they told me to uninstall and reinstall messenger and make sure that my IE Browser was current version and up to date. All this was done prior to posting here and contacting them.
    In the course of looking at things I also discovered that in Yahoo Messenger I couldn't even read profiles, change/update my own profile, click on the Messenger Help, or Messenger Home page under the help button.
    Well I gave up and did a complete dump of my computer and started fresh so far the problem that I was having with Yahoo Messenger is gone and each time I update something or add a new program I am testing the Yahoo messenger to make sure it still works the way it should. I figured by doing this after each install or update I can hopefully pinpoint what program was causing it.
    Just wanted to let everyone know and if I do discover a program that was causing the Yahoo Messenger to "act" up I will post that here so that others are aware of it.
