yahoo messenger turns off or crashes

Hi,
I need some help about yahoo messenger i recently upgrade my yahoo 7.5 to 8.1,but then i have some problem,Everytime i use the emoticon while chatting yahoo crashes!!Can anyone here help me?.I also read a few thread about this yahoo issue but not about emoticon but same thing happens to them it crashes.by the way i am using also windowblinds.thanks

 

Why did you mention windowblinds? I'm not familiar with it, but do think it might be conflicting with using emoticons in Yahoo Messenger? Can you disable windowblinds and see whether that makes a difference?

 

the reason why i mention windowblinds is because i read an old thread about yahoo crashes and the one who replied to help mention windowblind,that is the only reason why i mention windowblind,i disable windowblind and still the same with emoticon if i click one of then while i am chatting with someone yahoo turns off.so weird coz i never experience this with the version 7.5

Thanks for your advice,I tried to look for answer at the forum of yahoo well i found some related problem the only suggestion they gave is install flash player!as far i know i have installed that in my firefox browser do i need to install that again in IE?coz they said use ie to install,if nothing happens i will jsut go back to my old yahoo 7.5
