Just purchased my new puter with Vista Home Premium on it and thought I'd have a run at connecting my old peripherals. Lexmark Z82 printer = no go which was no surprise but it also appears my Yamaha YST-MS201 speakers will not work with Vista. They have worked fine with Win ME ( yeah....I'm a survivor...) and Win XP but are a no go with Vista. Took "Hal" back into my puter store for the techs to prove the sound system actually worked and it does so it appears to be the speakers. ( Yeah I named my puter....for 2 good reasons. 1. It sounded like the "uber-geek" thing to do and 2. It annoys the hell out of my grown kids. ) I ran around on Yamaha's web site and a couple of Vista compatibility sites but found no info at all about my speakers so thought I would post here so either people could make use of this info OR someone smarter than me could tell me what I am doing wrong. And for the people who tell me I went wrong at Vista i reply this:
I'd rather go down in flames trying something new and advancing knowledge than to die a long slow death hiding behind the apron strings of safety and security.
    But then.....that's just my opinion.
    Dave.
