yawning contagious

such a tired monday morning...we have the tv on in our office and i just saw a news special about yawning and how there are 2 reasons for doing it and one has to do with cooling the brain and the other has to do with it being contagious...check this out www.wakeuppeople.com - has lots of other random yawning facts hahaha

 

I thought you yawned when you werent getting enough oxygen to your brain.. confused thats what someone told me...

As for being contagious... it sure is!! kinda funny sometimes LOL

 

It is also "contagious" betwen owners and their animals. Try yawning infront of your dog and have him watch you. Contagious isn't quite the right word here as it is a mirror neuron response.

There's a commercial on tv right now with everybody yawning, for a new drink, Pepsi I believe, contains ginsing and caffeine. Gets me every time.
