yay for me!

I am putting all my books into a database, and today I put the 1000th book in. I still have more to go.

P.S. I put the first book in my database on December 30, 2009.

P.P.S. I also had to scan a few hundred covers for the rarer books where I couldn't find a decent-res image online.

 

You have 1000+ books? You need to post a pict of that!

I've read most of them.

I don't have a favorite book.

Taking a picture would be difficult because the books are scattered all around the house, but hold on a few minutes...

Why don't you buy an E-book reader, like a Kindle. Then you could store all your books and read them any where.

 

If I did, I'd be halfway up the wall.

I have difficulties with small electronic devices with small buttons, because I have big fingers. Plus most books I'm interested in don't have ebook.

 

Did some math:
1000 books / 20 days = Avg. 50 books/day

However, some days (on weekends) I managed to get 100 books in a day, other days I was lazy and only put a few in.

As long as they are personal backups and you don't reproduce and distribute them for profit or otherwise you'll be fine.

I just cataloguing them. Do you really expect me to scan 209069 pages? That is the amount I have currently.

Hey, I got that one. I recently had to work on an old DOS box . . . I kid you not. But then, I'm DOS myself (Doddering, Old, and Stuffy).

Like Aimee, I think I have at least a thousand books. I never have enough shelf space. I got books all over the place. :major
