I'm sorry but I don't even know if I have a software or hardware problem here.
I used to use windows ME and it reconized the two HD's I had in my computer. I had an accident which ruined my main HD which I had replaced. The technichen who did the repairs installed a new HD and also windows XP pro. Now XP will not reconize the old HD. Also the tech assigned the drive letter F: instead of C:. This is a problem because some programs will not run in a drive other than C:

What's on the other hard drive? If there's nothing on it you need, boot up with a floppy and format it. Otherwise, you might want to check if the master and slave are set correctly.
