I have a new laptop and an old pc. I am trying to create a wireless network. Do I need a wireless card in my old pc? I have managed to connect the laptop to the internet with the router, but I can't get it connected to the old pc. Help!

Yes, you would need a wireless card for the pc ...or hard wired to the router and then (after setting up dual profiles on the puters) you should be able to access both.

TimW...do you mind expanding upon this? What is the purpose of dual profiles? Does it somehow benefit the users of a home network? Does this improve file and/or resource sharing?

Having the same user profile on both puters (and same password) makes for print and file sharing ....one of MS$ quirks ......you will find a lot of info in the networking section to help you along.

Thanks for the input. I will keep reading and trying until I figure it out. This is a fun challenge. I want to be able to send a print job from my laptop to my home office printer, which is hooked up to the old pc.
