Yippeeeee...New toy!!!!

I was able to finally talk the wife into a NICE laptop!!!!

An HP Pavillion 17" high definition wide screen media center laptop w/windows media center 2005 and a remote control a tv tuner and video editing box!!!!

After 20 years of marriage, I still loose those "important" arguments! LOL!

 

I am actually some what intrested in that myself If I choose not to try and build my own pc. Its only three to four hundred more than what me building would be and its a laptop.

Seems my upgrade is on indefinite hold due to other 'priorities'. Our son who has the only decent PC in the house moves out next weekend so that sucks. Every time I switch mine on I spend literally hours convincing it to boot up.

Why is when you are earning it seems you have less ?

 

Because the more you make, typically the more you spend.

 

You'd hope so wouldn't you, but no, it seems more to be the more I make the more the kids spend!

 

I was actually going to buy another 512 and pop it in when I got home...but the salesman looked it up and we found out that it was two 256 sticks that were in there, so I would have had to buy two 512's and so at that point I decided that I would just hold off and save that for my next semi-big purchase!!!!

But, yeah....I agree...I most definately want 1gig of memory!!!!

I couldn't cope any more with my PC and bit the bullett. Got myself an interest-free deal at Best Buy. The original Pavilion I wanted was sadly no more so here's what I got.

It was quicker to set up this new PC and get it hooked up to the net than it was to boot up my old PC (I am not kidding...this process sometimes took 36 hours!!)

Heheh...yeah I checked them both out. It's new in and Best Buy didn't have it up on their website yet. They got my business...they just didn't get my advertising
