Hi, I keep having the Yoog Search Bar appearing in my search box. I went online and kept looking for solutions to remove it. No matter what I tried, the problem still keeps reppearing. I tried all the steps that was outlined in Windows XP Cleaning Procedure that was posted on the website.
Attached is the logs from the programs. Thanks in advance for any help regarding this issue.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Please try what is in the below link and report back:

    Yoog Removal

I'm surprised that your abstract is only complaining of Yoog which is less of a real malware problem than the other infections you had like Vundo.

Please follow the instructions below in the order written.

Uninstall the below old versions of software:
Ask Toolbar <-- should have been uninstalled in step 1 of the READ ME
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 10
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 11
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 7
    Java(TM) 6 Update 7
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 6 Update 1
Viewpoint Media Player <-- should have been uninstalled in step 1 of the READ ME

You are way out of date with your version of SUPERAntiSpyware.
    • Please uninstall your current version (this is necessary).
    • Then download this SUPERAntiSpyware
    • Install this new version. It may tell you that you need to reboot to complete the installation. You must reboot at this time.
    • After the reboot, run SUPERAntiSpyware and immediately click the Check for Updates button to get more updates for the database.
    • Now run a new full scan of your system. And attach this new log.
Now install the current version of Sun Java from: Sun Java Runtime Environment

You are also about a year and a half out of date with your version of MGtools. Where did you get this from?? <<< Make sure you answer this!! Please download the correct version from the link in the READ & RUN ME and run it. Then attach the new MGlogs.zip file.

Thanks for your help about the removal of Yoog, attached are the logs you have requested. Are there any other spyware/malware I am not aware of? Both SUPERAntiSpyware and MGtools I got from your website about a year ago when I had a spyware issue, I taught I updated everything but I guess I was wrong. Thanks again in advance for your help/input.

Did you really want this below junk from Sony setup? We consider all myway related items to me adware. if you don't want or don't need these, add them to the below things to fix when running HijackThis.

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://mysearch.myway.com/jsp/sonysidebar.jsp?p=SY
    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {F0F8C2B6-A911-4b4e-B2AE-89B82DC81F15} - C:\Program Files\SonySA\SrchAs\sySrcAs.dll
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {F0F8C2B1-A911-4b4e-B2AE-89B82DC81F15} - C:\Program Files\SonySA\SrchAs\sySrcAs.dll
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Sony Browser Search] rundll32 C:\PROGRA~1\SonySA\SrchAs\sySrcAs.dll,S

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    O2 - BHO: AskBar BHO - {201f27d4-3704-41d6-89c1-aa35e39143ed} - C:\Program Files\AskBarDis\bar\bin\askBar.dll (file missing)
    O3 - Toolbar: Ask Toolbar - {3041d03e-fd4b-44e0-b742-2d9b88305f98} - C:\Program Files\AskBarDis\bar\bin\askBar.dll (file missing)
    O9 - Extra button: BitComet - {D18A0B52-D63C-4ed0-AFC6-C1E3DC1AF43A} - res://C:\Program Files\BitComet\tools\BitCometBHO_1.2.8.7.dll/206 (file missing)
    O20 - AppInit_DLLs: C:\WINDOWS\System32\dpnlobby32.dll
    O23 - Service: Symantec Core LC - Symantec Corporation - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\CCPD-LC\symlcsvc.exe

NOTE: HJT may popup an error about the AppInit_DLLs line. Ignore it and click OK to continue.

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Now we need to use ComboFix to remove a bunch of malware files.
    • Make sure that combofix.exe that you downloaded while doing the READ & RUN ME is on your Desktop but Do not run it!
      • If it is not on your Desktop, the below will not work.
    • Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the below quote box into it:
    • Save the above as CFscript.txt and make sure you save it to the same location (should be on your Desktop) as ComboFix.exe
    • At this point, you MUST EXIT ALL BROWSERS NOW before continuing!
    • You should have both the ComboFix.exe and CFScript.txt icons on your Desktop.
    • Now use your mouse to drag CFscript.txt on top of ComboFix.exe
    • Follow the prompts.
    • When it finishes, a log will be produced named c:\combofix.txt
    • I will ask for this log below
    Note:

Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

    Now run Ccleaner!

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:
    • C:\ComboFix.txt
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

Did everything as stated in your post, so far no problems and everything seems to be working fine. Can you double check the logs to make sure that's the case? Thank You for all your help so far.

You're welcome. Your logs are clean.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
      • Delete the C:\combofix folder from combofix (if it exists)
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    7. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures in step 3 the READ ME for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

Thanks again for all your help.

Do you recommend purchasing both SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware or just purchase SUPERAntiSpyware or just keep the free versions of both?

Only purchase one since you do not want to have realtime protection from both running. I suggest that you purchase SUPERAntiSpyware.
