I saw it a year or so ago and loved it its a keeper,I loved hearing about the astronauts heart beats on the pad and throughout the mission and the emotions they felt as they saw the earth from that distance,and Buzz is just the coolest guy ever I could listen to him talk for hours

 

Yes, had seen it before. It is a very well-done documentary, kind of sad to see the heroes of my childhood looking so old, but that's part of life. We'll be going back to the moon a few years after the shuttle program ends in 2010, lots of work already going on with the new Aries rockets that will take us back.

 

THat's cool to know.... I've wondered about that a lot lately.

Since we're talking about firsts in space, here's a link of the first photograph ever taken in space, considered to be 65 miles, taken aboard a V-2 rocket. A very interesting read too for you history buffs.
