I have one more bizarre problem and have had no luck searching for a resolution. There is a random error message that pops up:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\FM2LIBNT.EXE

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information. <OK>
