    i want to put on my vb forums and main site a code that will tell IE users they should instead be using firefox, i know some tech geeks disagree with that but thats what i want, would this code do it?

    Code:
    <center><if condition="!is_browser('firefox')"><if condition="is_browser('ie')"> <a href="http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/" target="_blank">You should be using Firefox!</a> </if></if>
    </center>

    Do you have a source that says HTML, alone, supports "if condition" statements? I can't claim to be an HTML expert but I have some knowledge of it and have never heard of HTML supporting such a conditional statement.

    Nope...

    Javascript and HTML are two separate languages. While you can "embed" some javascript into html tags, that isn't the proper syntax. That's like saying "if" is an html tag, though it's not, it's a javascript command/statement.

    I know quite a bit about HTML but have yet to really delve into javascript enough to write it and tell you where you put it just off the top of my head.

    This looks like it could be of assistance to you: http://www.htmlgoodies.com/primers/jsp/article.php/3624446

    Sorry I can't really tell you exactly how to do it, but I hope this puts you on the right track.
