You'll rove Engrish too

I did a search for "Engrish" and only saw two threads -- only one posted a pic from this site so I hope I'm not simply repeating something you've all seen too many times.

www.engrish.com has pics taken of boxes, shirts, signs, etc. for mutilated English from various countries. There is a place explaining how most pics were taken by the webmaster and are authentic (not photoshopped) and if / when they find a fake one they want to remove it.

I found some hilarious ones and I only looked at a couple of the categories.

I spent a summer in Thailand and I often had to work on NOT busting out laughing when reading people's t-shirts with nonsense sentences or misspelled words.

Of course, I would be worthless trying to learn their language, that's for sure.

 

Amusing link, ur right things get lost in translation. Someone told me that Micky Mouse translates to something like El Ratton (Big Rat) in their language. I once told a waiter I wanted fried balls...wrong pronunciation - the look of shock at table was amusing tho!

The stuff in their store is great, like "Don't worry be sex!", "Carefully slip and fall down", and the "No Staring At Monkey" shirt.
