your help is requested

If you either live in Illinois or vacation in one of the state parks or visit one of the state historic sites, then your help is requested. Our infamous Governor is attempting to leverage our State Congress by threatening to close certain state historic sites and state parks. This would be a shame to do as they bring in much needed revenue and provide employment for many people, not to mention the joy, recreational and educational value to the public at large. In order to assist us in keeping these parks ans sites open I'm asking you to go and sign this online petition. Even if you don't live in Illinois, you may consider signing this petition as a possible tourist towards either the parks or the sites. Your help is appreciated. Remember, if this can happen in our backyard it can also happen in yours!
