Your suggestions please--need to register domain name

Hi, geeks,

Haven't logged on here in a while, but it's great to see all the helpful posts.

I am ready to set up my own website where I may be selling a few products a short while down the road. Any suggestions for the best place to sign up for my domain name?

Also, I use Earthlink and they have web hosting packages. Should I go with them? Should I also get my domain name through them?

I appreciate your advice and suggestions.
