Symantec AV detected a Trojan on the file windows\system32\yourreminder.dll

This appears to be a browser redirector type but it has messed up networking services and dial up to AOL does not work. High speed is not available.

I have found very little information on the Internet for this. Only CounterSpy has any documenation on it and it only says that it is in its list of threats. No info on how to remove. I spent 3 hours at the client last night and she was shocked at the cost. Going back tonight. We will approach the cost of a new computer soon. At some point I will need to just start over with the OS and have prepared her for that. I mention that since I just don't think spending several more hours researching this and running hijack and other tools just to try to figure it out is going to be the best for the client.

Therefore, I am looking for some help if anyone has encountered this trojan before and can give some suggestions.

I left the client last night at 9pm running a scan with CounterSpy but since I could not connect to the internet to update it I am not sure if my efforts to manually inject the defintions worked since it did not state the number of the definition but did state that they were updated last night.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks
