YouTube FPS Test only 5 Xp

    Hi All,:wave I just ran a FPS Test on YouTube and it's only 5 FPS I have Xp on a Dell Inspiron 2006 model desktop. Is this normal as anything on YouTube is very jumpy I have test ed with Hardware Accelerator ON and Off makes no Difference . I dont play Games anyway but I just wondered why is it so slow.

    Most likely this is a network-related symptom - we would need to know more about your setup (ethernet, wireless, modem/router, etc.) to perform any meaningful troubleshooting.

    2003 – Dell Inspiron Desk Top with LCD 20" Screen and MS Wireless Keyboard and Mouse. ,
    Running Firefox, Gmail, Windows XP P3? Home Edition // MS Office 2007 //
    I am connected to Internode B/Band ADSL- 512- 246 60gig “
    Internode ISP Current Hostname ppp118-208-122-129. lns4.bne4.internode.on.net
    I had a Home Wireless Network but
    Disconnected it. Network Name: MIECHELONNET but still have 2 LANS?


    I have VoIP via Uniden Dig 5.8GHz Cordless Phone (2) Handsets and Base (connected into the Linksys 3102 and ADSL Internode next to the Desktop) and to ‘MyNetFone VoIP’ Via the “Linksys 3102 Gateway ATA VoIP Router,” and a Nov-2009 D-Link 502 T Modem
    I have Avarst Pro, Firewall is on!
    Antivirus== AVARST Pro! Malewarebytes and CCleaner Weekly.

    Good morning...

    Be advised: I've requested that this thread be moved to the Networking forum where those who are less network-challenged than I might take a look...;)

    The two LAN listings may be spurious - sometimes simply disconnecting equipment doesn't necessarily get rid of the Windows setup.

    My immediate suggestion would be to simplify your present connection and try to see if you can discover the first symptoms. As a troubleshooting step, consider removing any phone-related equipment.

    Thanks caliban:wave I understand about moving my Post now I will take on board your suggestions for the moment and wait" as I intend setting up a Home network again I will wait until then! Meantime I have bigger problems to fix first (Malware I think) so I will go to the right place in Major Geeks forum and get some help Thanks again caliban:wave Dasha

    PS that second connection looks legit, i would say its a pppoe type dsl connection dialer that may be your internet connection.
