One of my friends has this big apple orchard, went round and got some big cooking apples, and did piping hot stuffed apple and ice cream for dessert. :drool slaver :drool
    What’s your favourite dessert?

Google shows sultanas as being seedless white grapes.

Almost forgot, one reason I look forward to summer is the Rhubarb pies I make.
I like the tartness so don't add strawberries like ready made ones.

Last week, The Guy had to go out and eat dinner at nice restaurants on work functions two nights in a row. The second evening he came home with two take-home boxes and gave them to me, explaining that since work paid for it, he might as well make them pay for expensive dessert, even though he doesn't really like them. So he brought it home to me.

One of the boxes had plain vanilla ice cream. The other had a very large double fudge dark chocolate brownie.

That's my current favorite. Next time he brings home something else, it will probably change to that one instead. :)

TeeCee, you really ought to try it, they are great.....unless you're on a diet:-D Hrlow2 gave a link to a good recipe and yeah, that's how they got their name TeeCee, they literally had to shoo the flies away from it because it is so sweet. My Mother made them too, but it wasn't the flies she had to shoo away from itroflmao

Speaking of yum-yum, what did everyone have for dinner?

We had cheese-stuffed chicken breasts wrapped in bacon, baked with sliced apples, and served with chicken broth cooked rice. :)

I raided the garden, and had BLT's, cukes and hot buttered beets...Strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Nice link, hrlw2, but it sure does look rich... Sounds like she had to shoo more than the flies away, for sure! :yum Anything that rich, would for sure draw all the kids LOL

Oh, I think she will sniff that one out LOL I like chocolate too, but seems to be a lot of rich stuff in those recipes, hrlow2. I am sure they are all good, just a little bit rich... I like cheesecake too, but, I can only eat a TINY piece because it is so rich...

Chocolate, now, that is good in itself... :yum

I give up TEECEE, you dont stuff the apple with grapes, sultanas are dried white grapes. the sort you get in a fruit cake. and I dont mean JOTS:-D

  34. TeeCee

    TeeCee MajorGeek

Tony, even dried, I wouldn't put them in my apple pie. I wouldn't stuff an apple with raisins either... rolleyes I like apples, I like grapes, I even like raisins... But not together... :p

Oh, and JOTS and fruitcake don't even belong in the same sentence!!:-D

I do like a good homemade fruitcake, tho.. The REAL one, not the store bought ones.. I think I am one of the few who do like them... :yum

I just don't see an apple and fruitcake fruits mixed... :confused
