Hi, I recently had the whole computer re-formatted, and now there is no sound. The computer is telling me there is no driver, which is strange as it was fine before the re-format.

I am running Windows XP, and the machine is an Acer Veriton desktop.

Any ideas on what to do next? I went to Start-All Programmes-Accessories-Entertainment and clicked on Volume Control, but it tells me there are 'no mixer devices available,' and to install them...

You simply need to install the audio drivers for your system. They can be found at
    http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

You'll have to know which Veriton model you have, and simply follow the prompts onscreen to get the correct audio drivers.

    Good luck.

    Many thanks Abekl, it worked!

I have been to this site for the last few years, and it never fails to help me out.

    Thanks again!
