When I turned on my computer this morning I got a screen from Zone Alarm stating: "New Wireless Network Found...ZA has detected a new wireless connection between your computer and the Internet or another computer.

    1) Please select a security level for this network:
    a) keep in Internet zone
    b) allow into trusted zone

    2) Name this network (optional)"

I tried to just bypass this however ZA will not allow me to cancel. I do not understand why I got this message and does it mean that some outside source is trying to remotely connect to my home laptop?

All that means is it found a wireless signal close to you. Your neighbor might of gotten a wireless router hooked up and your computer see's it.

Do you connect by wireless @ home? If not, you can usually turn the wireless connection program off on your computer.

If so, open the connection manager of the wireless program and chose your wireless router to be the default wireless. Then it won't bother with the other one found.

    1) Please select a security level for this network:
    a) keep in Internet zone <--Thats the one you check for connecting @ a hot spot.
    b) allow into trusted zone < -- Thats what you would check for your homes wireless.

    2) Name this network (optional)" <- If you pick up many other signals @ home. You can name your router difrently if you like.
