zone alarm pro settings

hi sorry if this is already here somewhere, does anybody know how to configure zone alarm pro properly.
ever since i upgraded to the pro version i have what to put in the custom tabs for internet zone security and trusted zone security, and also what goes in the firewall advanced settings - in the general settings what do i tick or untick apn and ip filter traffic.
anybody know how to set it up properly?
whatever i did my browser seems alot slower

ps. when i install it it asks should it add my network to the trusted zone - should i do this or leave it??
