I am attempting to cleanup old ZoneAlarm log files that are in the form:

    C:\windows\internet logs\ZALogyyyy.mm.dd

But I find that when deleting them, new duplicate files are being created as fast as I can delete them. These new duplicates are in the form:

    C:\windows\internet logs\Copy (n) of Copy of ZALogyyyy.mm.dd

I had been going alone highlighting groups of the original log files and then sending them to the recycle bin.

Is ZA creating these unwanted duplicate files? Until I saw what was happening, they were growing faster than the mops and buckets in that old Disney movie!

Perhaps I need to close ZA in order to delete them successfully?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

I run ZA pro and yes the only way is to turn it off and delete all the memory and then let it rebuild a new one, anyway thats what worked for me

Thanks for the reply. What do you mean by delete all the memory? I have hundreds of one, two, and three year old log files plus the duplicates I mentioned.

I never did delete the current ZALog file that gets created each day.
