ZoneAlarm Sez: MGTools = Trojan-Dropper.Win32.Agent.audk

Using your link to the most current download of MGTools, ZoneAlarm quarentines it as Trojan-Dropper.Win32.Agent.audk. Is ZoneAlarm mistaken or has the site been corrupted?

Welcome to Major Geeks!

ZoneAlarm is totally off base. MGtools could just as easily declare ZoneAlarm to be malware based upon the activities it performs (like downloadin other files, modifying the registry, depositing files in various locations); however we are smart enough to know the difference between real malware and tools used to help remove the malware that commercial software does not find or remove.

Thanks for the reply.

I figured that ZA was off base on that one.
I was able to download MGtools an use it on the "sick" machine.
