Been a while but now, really need help on Dell Vostro 1500 Laptop

Well, greetings all!

The last time I was here, I was fixing my PC and you know what? It worked!

Now, I come here begging for answers as this time, I've really gotten pulled through a loop! I've managed to fix anyone and everyone's computer for years and this time around, everything I've tried, my laptop just gets worse.

First off, I am running WinXP SP2 (at the time). In the middle of all this, my fiance went on to my laptop (or someone did which I think my 3 year old isn't capable yet so I blame the fiance! grrrr! hahaha). One day, I realized the my laptop no longer had my Script Blocker working (running the background of firefox) and neither was my Avast AntiVirus warning me of anything...odd. I went ahead and I updated to SP3, all of a sudden, my wi-fi (Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG) crashed. So, while surfing online, my computer just became sluggish and I immediately decided to hurry up and download the latest batch of S&D, Avast & Lavasoft. First off, S&D wouldn't connect, Avast crashed and Lavasoft, unresponsive...I shut down by finally rebooting. I know...WORST thing to do but, my only option. Immediately, I slapped in the XP CD and reinstalled with repair to my computer. which...failed. then i went ahead and reinstalled windows completely. now...it was working but for some odd reason, computer still seemed sluggish. I came on this site and downloaded Malware Bytes...ran it and cleaned out everything that was checked...talk about trojans..man I had my own army! Along with everything else, I had been infected with the wonderful VIRTUMONDE! GLARING AT FIANCE....I said "wow....you suck!". By the way...this is his laptop I am working on running on vista...damn I wish i could infect him too! hahaha....anyhow...i'm still having problems. The "problems" will be posted following the "what i have done so far".

as of late, this is what I have done:
1. Reinstalled windows xp sp 3 (Still sluggish)
2. Ran MBAM *Malware* (deleted and fixed all files that were under quarantine and otherwise)
3. Updated and ran S&D (cleaned)
4. Updated and ran Lavasoft (cleaned)
5. Downloaded Comodo Firewall and Antivirus (ran, installed, scanned...still sluggish and still no wi-fi)
6. called Dell (what a bunch of morons...didn't realize that when the new driver for the wi-fi was installed, it was competing for connection with my other driver...dumb arses..had to delete the ProSET/Wireless batch...grrr)
7. still having problems connecting so, i went into Control panel and removed all drivers for wi-fi and only installed the only stable version...10.x.x.x version
8. worked for all of 1 week then.....
9. the other day, went to facebook and clicked on an error message which brought me back to sluggish computer...even more sluggish (all the while i was still trying to find the problem why my computer was so slow)


PROBLEMS NOW:

1. tried to repair/reinstall windows, now it wants me to enter my password for admin which I keep typing but it says the password is incorrect
2. tried to run in safe mode and gets stuck at "running SPTD (STPD?).sys" and it shuts down and reboots
3. when it reboots, the black screen of doom "Windows XP Professional" or "Windows Install Setup...."...are my options
4. when i select "install" it brings me back to 1
5. when I run from "win xp pro"...slower than snot
6. I ran diagnostics and repaired as much as I can...still sluggish
7. ran *after finally getting ethernet cable to connect, which i have connected now....* UNIBLUE.....caught a lot of stuff and repaired the damaged *.dll files.....
8. RE-RAN MBAM....and it found 17 files that were trojan related so i deleted them...
9. now...computer is even worse....

I'm stumped...not only can I not install windows or reinstall....but I don't have the correct admin password which is ridiculous because..it's the same for my account as it is for admin....stumped stumped stumped....help!?

I still laugh about this because...had the fiance done the RIGHT thing and ASKED me what this script blocker was..instead of setting it to "globally accept (NOT SAFE!) *noted next to GA....*"....grrr....anyhow...anyone feel like tackling this with me?
