I'm nwew to this forum...so...Hi. But, let me get straight to the point. 'll try to give as much dtail as possible.

Well, my computr started acting wonky about 5:00 AM this morning. I think I had maybe...4 windows open at once, including a Yahoo IM chat window. Suddenly, my computed slowed down, then froze, then I got a message about the wscript needing to terminate, then my computer resta without me giving it a prompt. Naturaly, thought that I had forgotte to tell an update to restart later, or I had too many windows open and it caused a forced system restart.

Well, I logged back in, and everything ran fine...for a few seconds. Then my normal desktop background changed, and became a blue screen with a black box in the center, with red text reading "Your ystem is infected!" Then smaller white teneath that reads "You're system has been stopped due to a serious mafunction. Spyware activity has been detected. It is recommended you se a spyware removal tool to prevent dataloss. Do not use the computer until all spyware has been removed." Conveniently enough, I recieved two pop ups and had 2 unsolicited icons downloaded to my desk top-Advanced Virus Remover and Windows nti-Virus Pro. Thn my computed started lagging, then another forced restart. As my computer shut down once again, icould see my original background was still there. As of now, my Avast detected a virus...I trie to remove it, and it totally shudown my Avast perminantly. I can't run ANY scanners/removers, or else I wold provide some logs. I did follow the instructions for that type of situation, b all efforts failed to get Combo fix (the one I used) Avast or MBam to run. I can no long use task manager, Add/Remove programs or System restore (though I didn't plan on using it as I mght infect the restore point) very few seconds there's a "pop" noise, and I freeze, maki it hard to type this even now. The internet contantly gets redirected, telling me "This site is unsafe-we recomend you ativate your anti-virus first." It provides me with theoption to get "Full, real time virus proection" or "Keep going unprotected (Not recommended)" Of course, it won't let me click the seond option. I have two red circle with white "X"s in them in the icon tray, as well as "PC Anti Spyware 2010." The internet isetty laggy, too.

Since I can't provide any logs from any of the removers, please don't hold me in a harsh light-I've given as much detail as I can. Ay help would greatly be appreciated-more than you can imagine. So, tank you in advance.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

You need to try to run everything in the guide and use the below notes for additional tips. You must keep in mind that if you tell us you cannot run anything at all that our only answer can be reinstall since you cannot run anything. So you need to make sure you really try to run everything in normal and/or safe boot mode.

Please follow the instructions in the READ & RUN ME FIRST link given futher down and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
    • If you have problems where no tools seem to run, please try following the steps given in the below and then continue on no matter what you find. You only need to try the TDSSserv steps if having problems getting scans in the Read & Run Me First. If TDSSserv is not found, just continue on with the READ & RUN ME.
READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide
    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.

    • After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
    Helpful Notes:
    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes and Spybot ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. If you cannot seem to login to an infected user account, try using a different user account (if you have one) in either normal or safe boot mode and running only SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes while logged into this other user account. Then reboot and see if you can log into the problem user account. If you can then run SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, ComboFix and MGtools on the infected account as requested in the instructions.
    4. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:
Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.
