I am running dual monitors and in the last two days I can't drag windows or icons to second monitor. I can't resize any of my windows either. I have ran avast and malware and lava but didn't fix it. uninstalled drivers for moniors, vid cards and mouse and reinstalled..no dice. here is my Hijack this scan. If all else fails I will try to repair in vista.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Problems like this are unlikely to be malware, but we can check your PC for malware if you wish by having you follow the below cleaning procedure.

Please follow the instructions in the READ & RUN ME FIRST link given futher down and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
    • If you have problems where no tools seem to run, please try following the steps given in the below and then continue on no matter what you find. You only need to try the TDSSserv steps if having problems getting scans in the Read & Run Me First.
    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide
    • After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
    Helpful Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes and Spybot ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:
Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.

I have narrowed it down to a few corrupted vista system files but vista can't repair them. I have been at this point before. I have an upgrade disk and I have tried to do an inplace install but it says the same thing. Only clean available. It is to much of a pain to have to reinstall everything again, I am pushing over 2.5 TB. I have done system restore and Startup repair. But nothing. I have run the info you presented and nothing major was found most were trackers. I can contact MS and go thru the days of repeating myself or do a clean install, or just buy the full version, but I just need to find a way to repair the corupted files.
I have noticed that when I play my FPS I don't have auto fire anymore, I have to repeatedly press the mouse one button now. Also when my hardrives are in hyb mode I can't wake them with the mouse or keyboard anymore, have to reboot. Please help. 1 week and a half of no classes, because can't use the keyboard right or cut and paste or click and drag inop..aghhh

We cannot help you with Vista related file corruption or problems with your games or hardware in the Malware Forum. You need to post in the approiate other Forums like Software for Vista problems and Games for game problems, or Hardware for hardware problems. However, no one can help you with missing or corrupted Vista system files unless you have backups on your hard disk. If you do, then running sfc /scannow from a command prompt should take care of this.
