Audio Problems

I don't understand this maybe someone can help... When I do nothing but listen to audio things are fine, when I listen to audio and open firefox things get all crackly... Is it firefox causing this issue ? has anyone else had this issue or am I the lucky one ?

Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated... I tried a few things... I'm resorting to removing firefox and trying another browser to see if that'll help.

But if you have any advice I'm all ears.

I setup my computer to run a full scan of Avast

 

No you're not the 'lucky one'. Most of the time this issue can be resolved by updating the audio drivers.
You could run [MG]Driver Booster 1.1 to see if any updated drivers are available.
Just be sure to uncheck any of the extras offered when installing Driver Booster.

 

Υou can also follow this way in case that there is any ? in Device Manager menu

Start - Run type this mmc devmgmt.msc - Ok - right click to yellow device - Properties - Details - scroll down the arrow finding Hardware ids - there is a code in the box , we need it ( select all - copy - paste ) the code here :wave

 

Driver Booster says everything is all up to date

 

no yellow question marks or anything similar...

After I posted the initial message I scrappd firefox and went to Comodo Dragon at first the problem seemed to be gone but it appears to be back today.

With my graphics card running at 54C could that be overheating and causing issues...

Not sure if it makes a difference but my computer is a low profile computer... it has 1 PCI slot and 1 PCI-E both in used:
Video - PCI-E
Audio - PCI

well since I haven't had any luck so far I thought I would remove my antivirus and use windows defender in the event that Avast is fighting with something but if you got any other ideas i'm all ears

 

My brother tossed the idea at me that perhaps my computer is working too hard and that's what the problem is... any thoughts on that one ? I think he says this because if I have Ubuntu installed I can run a bunch of stuff and have no audio issues

 

Did you run eset on line scan ? You can try removing the audio driver following this way

I think I may have solved the problem myself, I recently reinstalled Avast and FireFox but did the 64bit nightly version and my audio seems fine at this time so here's hoping that things stay the way they are.
