AVG problem

Since running Malware removal procedure "Read and Run me first" (with no luck removing doginhispen.com and skitodayplease.com), I have now encountered a problem with my AVG free virus software. I tried to uninstall it and got an error message that says "checking of state of the item file avgcc.exe failed. File opening failed %File%=C:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG7\avgcc.exe. Permission denied. I was trying to access the AVG control center and it wouldn't let me, so I was trying to uninstall AVG and re-install it. I got the same message when I just tried to install AVG free. I just don't want to be vulnerable to viruses and I'm not sure I have any protection at the moment. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
