Being Redirected, starting your procedure...

I'm currently going through your initial procedures, and will follow them to a "T".
My problem is that my browser gets redirected when I do searches and then click on one of the search results.
This seemed to start happening after a Firefox update.
My computer runs fine in normal mode. I think I'll be fine downloading the recommended tools.
I have been having problems with a portable hard drive since the malware as well. I am getting a C++ access violation. Don't know if it's related or not. My primary concern is to remove the malware.

OK, got up to the SAS, got to this spot in the procedure:
"Back on the main screen, under Scan for Harmful Software click Scan your computer"
and as soon as I click on "Scan your computer" I get the blue screen.
Should I skip it and keep going? Or do I need to go into safe mode (which is painfully slow)?
I will await your instructions.

Nevermind... I see the instructions below that say what do if I get blue screen. Trying that now.

 

I attempted the Malwarebytes, and got the blue screen again after a minute or two of scanning.
Any suggestions as to what I should do next, please?

HELP please. I woke up this morning to a viral carnival on my computer. I cannot do ANY type of scan, or even go into safe mode without getting the blue screen. If I let it boot, it goes a phony desktop that says "your computer is infected". How do I get round this if I can't even get into safe mode? Please help.
