    Hi,

I have been having problems since last night with a recurring pop up that is trying to redirect my computer to sites through bestsearchforever.tw.

I have scanned using Ad-Aware antivirus, used the Ccleaner and Kapersky and TrendMicro tools and worked through the steps listed in the Read Me sticky at the top of the forumto no avail.

I have managed to disable the site from loading by adding it to my restricted sites but despite being on high privacy settings and all pop ups blocked it keeps coming back.

I am running Windows 7 64 bit using Internet Explorer. I am able to access the internet fine otherwise. I am not constantly being redirected through the main browser, the pop up usually opens in a new window.

Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Malware Removal Forum.

Please read ALL of this message including the notes before doing anything.

Pleases follow the instructions in the below link:

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
    • **** If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. ****
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not. MGtools will frequently run even when all other tools will not.

    • After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
    Helpful Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. If you cannot seem to login to an infected user account, try using a different user account (if you have one) in either normal or safe boot mode and running only SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes while logged into this other user account. Then reboot and see if you can log into the problem user account. If you can then run SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, ComboFix and MGtools on the infected account as requested in the instructions.
    4. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:
Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.

Hi, I have uploaded the TDSS and Malware Bytes logs.

My Ad-aware antivirus is now saying I have two trojans.

    Trojan.JS.Obfuscator.aa (v) in C:\Users\-----\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\51ROCZE5\feed[1].htm

    Trojan.Win32.Generic!BT (times two) in
    C:\ProgramData\ifgxperse.exe

    HKEY_USERS\S-1-21-3663966769-473675011-260029350-1001\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\RUN\Adobe ARM 1

Go to C:\MGtools\Getlogs.bat and double click to run it. Do you then get a MGlogs.zip produced for you?

No luck. It did say access had been denied whilst doing the HijackThis part if that helps.

    Download OTL to your desktop.

    • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
    • Vista and Windows 7 users Right-click OTL and choose Run as Administrator)
    • When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output.
    • Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check.
    • Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.

When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.

Attach both of these logs into your next reply.
