i have a fairly new dell e310 and recently pickedup a couple of undeleteable files or spyware whatever it is, i've ran virus scans with several different programs and were not able to delete them with any of the programs...at the same time whatever this problem is has caused me to have a loss of my internet connection.. these files are called

    NDNuninstall7_22.exe ........ and Myr2c.dll

by the way both are located in the C:/WINDOWS folder

anyone able to help me or provide any kind of assistance to me please help. I'm reading up on how to do a hijackthis if neccessary, but any advice would be alot of help at this point...

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

Sounds like you were hit by NewDotNet.

First give this a run: Symantec Adware.NDotNet Removal Tool 1.0.3

Can you download and install programs? If so complete the below standard cleaning procedures.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
      • Bitdefender
      • Panda Scan
      • HijackThis

no im not able to download any programs now because i'm not able to connect to the internet at this time, will i be able to save this program to a disk then install it?

by the way my start toolbar at the bottom also his dissapeared, actually its down very low but im not able to access it or manually open the start option by manually pressing the "windows" key on the keyboard

You should be able to download all the tools to a CD or other media to take to the problem PC. You just will not be able to get updates if the PC cannot connect to the net.

Do you have Desktop icons? If not, it sounds like explorer.exe is not starting up.

What happens when you boot in safe mode?

I just want to know what you see when you boot in safe mode. That's all!

Back in Normal Boot mode. Do this.

    Press CTRL+ESC.

    Does your taskbar reappear now?

If so one of the below may apply:
    • it has probably been resized too small
    • or it has been repositioned somewhere you may not expect it to be. Instead of just moving your mouse to the bottom of the screen, try the top, the left and the right side of the screen.
    • or if you have any other applications running full screen, minimize them or change their size to not be full screen
If none of the above helps, try the below registy patch.

Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixme.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.

well somehow after messing around and playing with the configurations my taskbar is back, but to be honest that isnt my main problem, my internet connetion is, i just thought that the missing toolbar may have had something to the virus problem thats occuring, so will this "fixme" correct the internet problem or just the toolbar, that depends on if i need to do it.

The fixme.reg patch was only for problems with your Start button and taskbar. You don't need it if the taskbar is back now.

You internet connection could (this is just a guess since I have no logs from your system) be broken due to incorrect removal of NewDotNet which may have broken your LSP chain.

Can you some how run steps from what I gave you in message # 2. You will need to copy files to this broken PC via a CD or flash drive. Obviously with no internet access you cannot get updates and cannot do online scans but your can do the other scans even without updates.

Also download the below but DO NOT RUN IT yet.

    LSP - Fix

HijackThis is the last step not the first, but no it can be run offline. You need to run the other steps before HJT. The Symantec Tool probably will not repair a broken LSP chain if that is what your problem is.

ooookay, now here we go again, now after I restarted the computer again I've once again lost my taskbar, now it IS located on the bottom of the screen but im not able to access it, I can see the top of the bar across the bottom and im only able to access its properties by right clicking and none of those options changed this problem, the alt esc option didn't change anything and when i put in the binary code u gave me it didn't accept that either, it said it wasn't a proper code or something (sorry i don't have it verbatim) I just wanted to add that, but about the main problem.....

now i ran the Symantec Adware.NDotNet Removal Tool, when it finished it said that it removed it and corrected about 8 other files or whatever, i restarted the cpu and the problem still exists. I forgot to mention also that whatever this problem is causes the computer to start up and shut down VERY SLOWLY .... I'm pretty fed up with this problem right about now, so please help me b4 i loose it, I'm almost ready to restore this cpu back to its orginal status and loose all the files, documents, and programs I have, (by the way, would that work?)

Thank you for all the help so far chaslang, but whats my next step at this point? since im not able to connect online im not sure what scans i can or can't do as far as doing the preliminary 0-9 steps... please help me!!!

You need to try and run some of the READ ME procedures. You must download the tools like you did the Norton tool and then run them on the problem PC. If you cannot do the online scans run the below Ewido scan instead and attach the log later. Make sure you also complete step 7 of the READ ME and attach the HijackThis log.

    Running Ewido Anti-Malware

Step 6 of the READ ME is the online scans, but if you cannot get online obviously you cannot run them.
