I am pretty sure I have some virus or malware because I cannot download anything. Each time it says a virus was detected and erases it!

Anyone have any experience with this???

Really appreciate any help - even tried to download in safe mode and got the same results.

Have you tried downloading to a different computer and transferring via thumb drive?

I found the "read me" information and I succeeded in several of the steps.

I never could get Hitman to load. Even though I was working with the 64 bit version it kept telling me that I wasn't..

I was able to run cc cleaner and the rest of them.
I did successfully disable the uac

I still cannot download any programs - notes files are attached.

I would really appreciate any help!

I used a thumb drive to download the software from your read me help section and that worked just fine, thanks!

Download OTL to your desktop. ( Or download to another PC and transfer to the infected one. )

    Now:

Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
NOTE: HJT may popup an error about the AppInit_DLLs line. Ignore it and click OK to continue.

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Double-click OTL.exe to start the program.

    • Copy and Paste the following code into the Custom Scans/Fixes textbox. Do not include the word Code

    Code:
    :processes
    :killallprocesses
    :files
    C:\windows\assembly\GAC_32\Desktop.ini
    C:\windows\assembly\GAC_64\Desktop.ini
    :commands
    [PURITY]
    [EMPTYTEMP]
    [RESETHOSTS]
    [REBOOT]

    • Then click the Run Fix button at the top.
    • Click the OK button.
    • OTL may ask to reboot the machine. Please do so if asked.
    • The report should appear in Notepad after the reboot. Just close notepad and attach this log form OTL to your next message.

Now try to download and run RogueKiller

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista or Win7, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:

    • C:\MGlogs.zip

Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

I got everything done except it wouldn't open Roguekiller. It gave me the same 32 vs 64 bit compatibility issue.
I was successful with deleting the files you requested with old timers.
I went ahead and ran the file from mgtools and attached the log.

Unfortunately - I still get the same download error.

I am not finding any malware in those logs.

http://imageshack.us/a/img841/7292/thisisujrt.gif Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.

    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

Please download ComboFix to your desktop. Turn off any AV software you have before you run it. Attach the log when finished. Do not do anything while it is running or it may stall the program.

I think we are making progress...
    Attached is the log.
I can't use Internet Explorer anymore - it gives me an error that the registrty key has been marked for deletion. I don't know what this means?

Try running both RogueKiller and Hitman, even if you must use Safe mode.

    Thanks for all your help!
I'm pretty sure the problem has been fixed. The only casualty was that IE no longer is functioning in any practical way. Not a problem though, I downloaded a different browser and my laptop is working just fine.
Many thanks to you for your patience and help!!

    You are most welcome.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. You can uninstall RogueKiller and HitManPro.
    2. Go back to step 4 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link

Malware removal from a National Chain = $149
Malware removal from MajorGeeks = $0
