Can't extract 'Hijack this'

Hi,

my laptop is running unusually slow.
i am getting popups with the three letters 'duf' at the top of each pop up window.
i cannot access task manager either.
I have been through the 'READ AND RUN ME FIRST' tutorial, but cannot extract 'Hijack this'. I have tried to download it a few times (the 203kb zip file) and have attempted to extract it into its own folder using the XP extraction tool and WInzip, but to no avail. Each time i try it tells me that the extraction is complete, but then hijack this is nowhere to be seen.
I have attached three logs, and i am wondering whether you can tell from these whether i have a problem that is stopping me from extracting hijack this.

I forgot to say, my laptop is an HPcompaq nx9005 with an AMD athlon xp-m. Don't know much more about it than that (other than the fact that the 'c' key is missing, which is irritating!)
