    Hi, I've got a problem here. :(

Whenever I run some programs, I get "The specified module could not be found"
And there's a small shield icon on them that looks like the shield icon when UAC is on.
I also tried to disable UAC, but unfortunately the "Turn User Account Control on or off" has a shield icon also..
I did try to disable it through msconfig, but it's still on even if "The operation completed successfully" pops.

And when I right click > run as administrator, the same specified module error pops.

I also scanned my pc, but AVG only detected tracking cookies. Tried Spybot S&D and it found some "malicious" files, but because UAC is on, it won't allow me to delete them :(

System restore, also gives specified module error.

*sigh* And hijackthis gives "Run-time error '50003' Unexpected error"

I hope you could help me here. :O
    Thanks in advance. :drool
    And Happy Holidays :-D

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Please read ALL of this message including the notes before doing anything.

Please try following the instructions in the below link to the best of your ability. You can run in safe boot mode if it is necessary (although SUPERAntiSpyware cannot be installed in safe boot mode).

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
    • **** If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. ****
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not. MGtools will frequently run even when all other tools will not.

    • After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
    Helpful Notes:
    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. If you cannot seem to login to an infected user account, try using a different user account (if you have one) in either normal or safe boot mode and running only SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes while logged into this other user account. Then reboot and see if you can log into the problem user account. If you can then run SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, ComboFix and MGtools on the infected account as requested in the instructions.
    4. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:
Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.

    Wow! Just.. Wow!
I mean, I followed the Read&Run me first guide. And "almost" everything failed.
Except for MGtools, well.. actually, it did fail also.. because I wasn't able to extract the logs that I was expecting..

And, my oh my! I forgot that I can use "Safe mode" But because of your "Helpful Notes" + the DisableUAC.reg in the mgtools.
My PC is back to normal!(?) (I hope..)

Oh well, thanks a big bunch again! :)
    And Happy Holidays again.. xD

I'm confused by your message! If everything failed (or almost everything) then how are things working normally. And if things were working normally, there should be no reason that everything in the READ & RUN ME FIRST would not work..... that is unless you had not followed instructions properly like in places where protection software must be shutdown and the fact that UAC must be disabled and also using Run As Administrator. With only a comment that things "failed" and no specific information on what the failures or error message were, we cannot really comment to say what happened.

Oh, I'm so sorry if I confused you :(
What I meant was, I followed the "READ First Guide"
And I wasn't able to get any of them working (there's always an error occurring even in safe mode)
And then, I found the DisableUAC.reg inside the MGtools folder, so I tried it.
And walah! my PC is back to normal.. (I hope this message, is not "confusing" anymore)

Uhh.. I mentioned on my 1st post that I can't disable UAC, and "run as admin"
(and I still don't know I have to run disableuac.reg in safe mode)

    P.S.
You can just ignore this question, because I know you guys are really busy, but I'll just ask anyway.. xD
So my pc is back to normal, and the problem was uac not allowing to be turned off. I just wanna know, what may have caused that to be like that.

(sheesh, my english really sucked.. sorry sir :( )

And once again, Thank You! and happy new year :)

There is really no difference between running the DisableUAC.reg command and disabling UAC yourself. The only problem that would occur is if you do not have administrator priviledges while in normal boot mode. You cannot disable UAC unless you are an admin.
