    Hey everyone,

I ran malwarebytes on an an Acer computer and after finding over 11, 000 infections and removing them it prompted me to restart. After the restart it will show the windows log then after a few seconds reboot again and go to the windows repair count down.

After the count down it scans to see if it can find problems and repair them or restore to a earlier time. It ask me if I would want to restore, I said no by accident. I tried it again and restarted but it will no longer ask to restore it, just says windows can not fix the problem.

Will someone help me please? I have tons of important documents on my computer.

I was ask to post here under software to see if you can help me.

Original location was under virus removal. http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=287365

The first thing I would do is slave the drive to another well protected machine to try to save your work. Once that is done, you can reload the OS back in the original machine.

If you don't know how to slave the drive or don't have another computer at your disposal, you can instead copy an image of your system drive to a secondary drive like an external hard drive (assuming that you have one). You'd need first to impose on someone who's willing to download and install the disk copying software onto their computer. There are many free disk copying apps available for download here at the MajorGeeks site. One popular choice is EaseUs Disk Copy v2.3.1

Once installed, the program will allow you to create a boot disk (CD) with the Disk Copy software on it. Place the boot disk in your machine's optical drive and reboot (cycle power if you need to). The software should load automatically before Windows tries to boot. Once loaded, you can use the app to copy your drive, sector by sector, to an external hard drive.
