Help Me Please! Son opened an e-mail with a virus!

I am not entirely computer stupid, however, I can't seem to get rid of this thing! Two days ago my son opened an e-mail in his hotmail account, and now we have a resistant virus. When I start the computer, I have a panel down the right hand side of boxes, advertising things like gambling, pharmacy, XXX, etc. I can close these, but if the mouse slides over one, it starts some kind of a download. My anti-spam and anti-virus programmes have picked up a Trojan.downloader.small.popcorn64 virus each day, but although I delete it, it's back the next day again. My computer seems to be running slowly, and I'm wasting a lot of time trying to solve this problem. Help me please!

- Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

• Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

- Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:

Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

In addition to the above, follow the directions for Running Ewido Security Suite.

Post both the Ewido and HijackThis logs as ATTACHMENTS.
