HELP! ran the hijack this...

    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

    http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gifAfter doing ALL of the above and you still have a problem, make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below thread to properly use HijackThis and attach the log:

    ok I think I did everything correctly now. I had a few trojan viruses, and a couple other things were detected & removed by AdAware & Microsoft, so hopefully this problem is gone. Thanks for the help, its much appreciated by dumbies like myself.

    Download FixWareout by Lonny and save it to your Desktop.
    • Please locate your download of FixWareout and INSTALL it.
    • Be sure that Run fixit is checked.
    • Click Finish to begin the fix.
    • Follow the prompts and Reboot when asked to do so.
    • Upon Reboot, follow the prompts and HijackThis should open.

    The user has not completed all of the READ ME (no online scanners). Also the above is incomplete. What do you want to do when HJT opens?

    I don't see Wareout either.

    Ok, I installed that fixwareout, and did what I was told, then I ran the Panda program, it states I have 5 viruses, and 8 spyware. I dont understand. I have verizon yahoo online protection, and I update frequently, when I run the virus scanner, it states no viruses are found, but the verizon yahoo spyware scanner always says I have a few, so I delete them & the next time I scan, the darn things are there again!!! The panda scan says I have the lockskyR worm, JupillitesA, smallLV, lockskyB, downloaderGYI viruses. WHY IS MY VIRUS PROTECTION NOT WORKING? Thanks again, Daryl
