    Heklo:

I'm DC, a newbie to this forum. Have a PC exhibiting very sluggish behavior. Have run Spybot and HJT. HJT logfile is below. Could I ask that someone knowledgeable take a look at the file and recommend remedial action please?

    Thank you and happy 4th...

    DC

Edit by chaslang: Inline, poorly formatted HJT log removed. READ & RUN ME not followed.

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

Please do not post any logs inline and you must read and follow the sticky thread procedures before HijackThis logs will be accepted. Often times sluggish PCs may not be malware. If could be just a matter of all the software you have installed and are running.

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
      • Bitdefender
      • Panda Scan
      • HijackThis
    .

    Chaslang:

Am now following those procedures and will post per instructions. Am having trouble getting BitDefender to run. The scan does not want to invode w/SVPK 2 even though I have enabled the aCTIVEx control as directed by the program. Any ideas?

    Thanks

Skip Bitdefender but still try PandaActiveScan BUT BEFORE running Panda, run the below procedure:

    Running Ewido Anti-Malware

Attach the requested Ewido log and then move on to Panda.
