Welcome to the Malware Removal Forum.

Please read ALL of this message including the notes before doing anything.

Pleases follow the instructions in the below link:

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
    • **** If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. ****
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not. MGtools will frequently run even when all other tools will not.

    • After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
    Helpful Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. If you cannot seem to login to an infected user account, try using a different user account (if you have one) in either normal or safe boot mode and running only SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes while logged into this other user account. Then reboot and see if you can log into the problem user account. If you can then run SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, ComboFix and MGtools on the infected account as requested in the instructions.
    4. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:
Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.

If you did not deliberately set this proxy yourself then please include it in the HJT fix further below:

    • R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = 127.0.0.1:9421;<local>

Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    • R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://search.conduit.com?SearchSource=10&ctid=CT3007394
    • R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = 127.0.0.1:9421;<local>
    • R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {5e5ab302-7f65-44cd-8211-c1d4caaccea3} - (no file)
    • R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {167d9323-f7cc-48f5-948a-6f012831a69f} - (no file)
    After clicking Fix exit HJT.

Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.

Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. (Right click and run as admin if using Vista or Windows7) Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this.

Let me know of any problems you may have encountered with the above instructions and also let me know how things are running now!

well i didnt set that proxy thing as im not even sure what a proxy is nor how to set one >.< (again, single mom, maybe blonde, technologically challenged)
I ran HJT and checked the 4 you listed for fix
saved the regedit to desktop and did as stated (got success message)
my old router (belkin 54g)when i would disconnect, upon reconnect and opening security tab would show something like [1 blocked by DoS protection from (ip here)]
now my new router (dlink dir-625 N) keeps much more extensive logs which i know nothing about ..tdp udp bogus packets connection requests etc
Note i have pingback turned off a rather long security key and set to block incoming connections, i can message you a log if you need to see,(i have the ability to save to txt files)

every day i disconnect more and more, every day my logs get longer with this stuff, ive a feeling i know who is doing this, however he lives nowhere near me n is MUCH more pc savvy than i, having bragged about knowing how to 'hack' things on more than one occasion, able to bounce off many different IPs and thus hide his own. i ticked this guy off n since then its getting worse.
now, i run a laptop so i have a network list viewable, if i unplug my router alone (dlink,,me) disappears from this network list but 3 unknowns stay unless i unplug modem as well. upon restarting very soon they are back in my list, i live in the country, neighbors are not that close (though i do have 1 that showsand stays in my network list with my modem unplugged, him i do not worry about, family friend of my moms) sometimes just being in my room is too far away from my router to make a connection so how is my laptop picking up these 3 random ones? (accguestaccess, other network and 1 that says my isp name with random numbers behind it) and when these 3 are listed, the disconnects continue, when they are not listed, i have little problem to stay online, but i find myself running both hp network diagnostics, network troubleshooter, flushing dns releasing and renewing ip etc multiple times a day,as well as having to go downstairs n physically unplug modem/router which i should not have to. basically, i believe im being flooded so that i cannot make legitimate connections.its getting worse every day,my cpu frequently jumping to 100% with nothing even on.
Note after 14 dropped connections watching those aforementioned kinds of things happen n thus fails though showing a good network signal trying to upload the MGT file, i had to reset router >.<

I am not seeing any malware, the proxy is gone, you can further discuss this in the networking forum if you like. :)

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Press and hold the Windows key http://forums.majorgeeks.com/chaslang/images/Windows_Logo_key.gif and then press the letter R on your keyboard. This opens the Run dialog box.
      • Copy and paste the below into the Run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /uninstall, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    3. Go back to step 4 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    4. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    5. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others) and running MGclean.bat did not remove, you can delete these files now.
    8. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    9. If you are running Win 7, Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures pointed to by step 6 of the READ ME
for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    10. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
