    Help please
    pc was not working normally after a littlte investigating I ran
    combofix.exe and this deleted

    c:\windows\system32\_000003_.tmp.dll
    c:\windows\Zqixya.exe

    I also found a zfx.exe and zfr.exe which I deleted found running in task manager
    then I ran hijack this and the following line was present

    F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\Userinit.exe,,C:\Program

    files\nuafydlf\vbrrjduv.exe

    I tried to delete it with hijack this BUT reappears when i scan again
    I tried to delete the nuafydlf directory But I was not allowed to do this yet the folder appears empty

    I then went onto the internet and tried trend housecall free scan service - BUT - it was not allowed to load,

    kept saying you may net be connected to the internet
    anyone out there that can offer help

    regards
    :(

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    Please read ALL of this message including the notes before doing anything.

    Pleases follow the instructions in the below link:

    READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

    and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
    • **** If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. ****
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not. MGtools will frequently run even when all other tools will not.

    • After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
    Helpful Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. If you cannot seem to login to an infected user account, try using a different user account (if you have one) in either normal or safe boot mode and running only SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes while logged into this other user account. Then reboot and see if you can log into the problem user account. If you can then run SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, ComboFix and MGtools on the infected account as requested in the instructions.
    4. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:
    Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.

    You are not running the current version of MGtools.

    Please download and use the copy of MGtools.exe that is given in the READ & RUN ME and run it. Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that is created by MGtools. DO NOT create your own log.

    xp-3ComboFix.exe <--- rename back to Combofix.exe

    Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

    Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    After clicking Fix exit HJT.

    Now we need to use ComboFix
    • Make sure that combofix.exe that you downloaded while doing the READ & RUN ME is on your Desktop but Do not run it!
      • If it is not on your Desktop, the below will not work.
    • Also make sure you have shut down all protection software (antivirus, antispyware...etc) or they may get in the way of allowing ComboFix to run properly.
    • If ComboFix tells you it needs to update to a new version, make sure you allow it to update.
    • Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the below quote box. Ensure you scroll down to select ALL the lines:
    Code:
    KILLALL::

    Driver::
    root
    DirLook::
    C:\QVOUMSG
    c:\documents and settings\NetworkService\rap26265
    c:\documents and settings\NetworkService\rap24156
    c:\documents and settings\NetworkService\rap25203
    c:\documents and settings\NetworkService\rap25093
    c:\documents and settings\NetworkService\rap25218
    c:\documents and settings\NetworkService\rap23718
    c:\documents and settings\NetworkService\rap23843
    c:\documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\RegSERVO
    File::
    C:\Documents and Settings\snapper\Local Settings\Application Data\clphmxqm.log
    C:\Documents and Settings\snapper\Local Settings\Application Data\jrsneuii.log
    C:\Documents and Settings\snapper\Local Settings\Application Data\lnmkntpl.log
    C:\Documents and Settings\snapper\Local Settings\Application Data\pycasdmj.log
    C:\Documents and Settings\snapper\Local Settings\Application Data\sgljqgmr.log
    C:\Documents and Settings\snapper\Local Settings\Application Data\uqefvcxh.log
    C:\Documents and Settings\snapper\Local Settings\Application Data\wcujkcar.log
    C:\Program Files\nuafydlf\vbrrjduv.exe
    c:\documents and settings\snapper\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\vbrrjduv.exe
    c:\windows\system32\drivers\root.sys
    c:\documents and settings\LocalService\jczbhxze.TMP
    c:\documents and settings\LocalService\hhypb4uf.TMP
    c:\documents and settings\LocalService\7le99596.TMP
    c:\documents and settings\LocalService\ii4pg4jx.TMP
    c:\windows\_000004_.tmp.dll
    c:\windows\explorermgr.exe
    Folder::
    c:\program files\nuafydlf
    c:\program files\DWJAFYPL
    c:\program files\RHRPFPUW
    c:\program files\RWYJDPIV
    c:\program files\VFZDENTD
    Registry::
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\winlogon]
    "Userinit"="c:\windows\system32\userinit.exe,"

    • Save the above as CFscript.txt and make sure you save it to the same location (should be on your Desktop) as ComboFix.exe
    • At this point, you MUST EXIT ALL BROWSERS NOW before continuing!
    • You should have both the ComboFix.exe and CFScript.txt icons on your Desktop.
    • Now use your mouse to drag CFscript.txt on top of ComboFix.exe

      http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v666/sUBs/CFScriptB-4.gif

    • Follow the prompts.
    • When it finishes, a log will be produced named c:\combofix.txt
    • I will ask for this log below

    Note:

    Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

    If after running Combofix you discover none of your programs will open up, and you recieve the following error: "Illegal operation attempted on a registry key that has been marked for deletion". Then the answer is to REBOOT the machine, and all will be corrected.

    Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this.

    Let us know of any problems you may have encountered with the above instructions and also let me know how things are running now!

    No, it did not work... please follow my instructions exactly or it could wind up taking us a long time to remove.

    Uninstall this if you did not intentionally install it yourself

    • WinPcap 4.1.1

    Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

    Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    • F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\Userinit.exe,,C:\Program Files\nuafydlf\vbrrjduv.exe

    After clicking Fix exit HJT.

    Download and run OTM.

    Download OTM by Old Timer and save it to your Desktop.

    • Right-click OTM.exe And select " Run as administrator " to run it.
    • Paste the following code under the http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2455/4173556815_a721a91733_o.png area. Do not include the word Code.
      Code:
      [/LIST]
      :files
      C:\Documents and Settings\snapper\Local Settings\Application Data\clphmxqm.log
      C:\Documents and Settings\snapper\Local Settings\Application Data\jrsneuii.log

      C:\Documents and Settings\snapper\Local Settings\Application Data\pycasdmj.log
      C:\Documents and Settings\snapper\Local Settings\Application Data\wcujkcar.log
      c:\program files\nuafydlf
      c:\program files\RWYJDPIV
      c:\program files\RHRPFPUW
      c:\program files\VFZDENTD
      c:\windows\system32\rundll32mgr.exe
      C:\Program Files\nuafydlf\vbrrjduv.exe
      c:\documents and settings\snapper\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\vbrrjduv.exe
      C:\WINDOWS\system32\-1

      :reg
      [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\winlogon]
      "Userinit"="c:\windows\system32\userinit.exe,"

      :Commands
      [emptytemp]
      [Reboot]
      [resethosts]

      • Return to OTM, right click in the Paste List of Files/Folders to Move window (under the yellow bar) and choose Paste.
      • Push the large http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2782/4174320048_f01c448b32_o.png button.
      • OTM may ask to reboot the machine. Please do so if asked.
      • Copy everything in the Results window (under the green bar), and paste it into notepad, save it as something appropriate and attach it into your next reply.

      NOTE: If you are unable to copy/paste from this window (as will be the case if the machine was rebooted), open Notepad (Start->All Programs->Accessories->Notepad), click File->Open, in the File Name box enter *.log and press the Enter key, navigate to the C:\_OTM\MovedFiles folder, and open the newest .log file present, and attach the contents of that document back here in your next post.

      Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this.

    Go to TDSSKiller and Download TDSSKiller.zip to your Desktop

    • Extract its contents to your Desktop so that you have TDSSKiller.exe directly on your Desktop and not in any subfolder of the Desktop.
    • Now double click the TDSSkiller.exe file to run it ( if using Vista or Windows 7 do not double click on it but rather, right click and select Run As Administrartor.
    • Allow the application to run and a window will open showing that it is TDSSkiller from Kaspersky
    • Click Start scan
    • It will run rather quickly and will notify you of whether anything is found or not.
    • Follow the instructions to delete/quarantine if asks you what to do when if finds something.
    Whether an infection is found or not, a log file should be created on your C: drive ( or whatever drive you boot from) in the root folder named something like TDSSKiller.2.1.1_27.12.2009_14.17.04_log.txt which is based on the program version # and date and time run. Please attach this log to your next reply. (See: HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post )

    That is not showing any signs of rootkit.

    We link to the BP site anyway for the download of CF.

    Scan With RKUnHooker
    • Please Download Rootkit Unhooker Save it to your desktop.
    • Now double-click on RKUnhookerLE.exe to run it.
    • Click the Report tab, then click Scan.
    • Check (Tick) Drivers, Stealth, Files, Code Hooks. Uncheck the rest. then Click OK.
    • Wait till the scanner has finished and then click File, Save Report.
    • * This can take a while. Please be patient *.
    • Save the report somewhere where you can find it. Click Close.
    • Copy the entire contents of this log in you're next reply.
    • This log can be lengthy you may have to post it in separate replies.
    • Note: You may get the following warning - it is ok - just ignore it:
    • "Rootkit Unhooker has detected a parasite inside itself!
    • It is recommended to remove parasite, okay?"

    No, not seeing anything that is indicative of rootkit presence! Hmm. I have asked the other malware experts about this but you will have to be patient as they are not online yet.

    Run this and attach the results.
