iexplore.exe problem (different than everyone else)

I searched the web and forums and couldn't find a solution to my problem. It all recently started happening and I have not downloaded anything to cause this.

First off: I am running Windows Vista Ultimate.

Description of the problem: I noticed my computer was running uncontrollably slow recently (since Tuesday July 14, 2010). I control alt deleted to see what processes were running. To my surprise there was around 6-10 iexplore.exe (running under System only) while I use Google Chrome. But I kept ending processes & process trees of iexplore.exe till they were gone and they started repopulating.

I ran every AV, anti-spyware/malware programs I had, disk cleaned up, Windows updated, defragged, uninstalled 40 gigs worth of useless programs, searched program files for odd folders etc, and I couldn't find anything wrong.

I even repeated above in safe mode. Currently I can not get safemode to boot.

Recently today I noticed the iexplore.exe took awhile to reappear (around 5-10 minutes) and I knew when it started back because I would get a message from Microsoft Windows saying: "Host Process for Windows Services stopped working and closed" and it started becoming worse.

I am about to give up. I want to be able to do things on my computer without worrying about my memory just getting used up.

But everything seemingly keeps getting worse. Such as I download a program and it says I don't have permission to open it. So I right clicked and saw in properties "Unblock" which is odd I never seen that before. I simply click it and I can use the program. But if I hesitate it gets reblocked. It is really annoying. I just uninstalled and reinstalled Ad-Aware and Malwarebyte and having to fight my computer to unblock the installers was a painnnn.

Quick note: While offline nothing happens with iexplore.exe.

Also my wireless card stopped working all the sudden.

I would love someone to help me out. This is the first time I have not been able to fix something on my own without help. Do you need me to post logs? If so which programs and etc?

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Please read ALL of this message including the notes before doing anything.

Pleases follow the instructions in the below link:

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

    • **** If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. ****
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not. MGtools will frequently run even when all other tools will not.

    • After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
    Helpful Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:

    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. If you cannot seem to login to an infected user account, try using a different user account (if you have one) in either normal or safe boot mode and running only SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes while logged into this aother user account. Then reboot and see if you can log into the problem user account. If you can then run SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, ComboFix and MGtools on the infected account as requested in the instructions.
    4. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:

Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.

Here is all the logs. ComboFix would not run. But wouldn't give me a error message. RootRepeal wouldn't run in normal or safe mode and it did give me a error:
    Code:
    23:14:04: FOPS - DeviceIoControl Error! Error Code = 0xc0000024 Extended Info (0x000000ec)
    23:14:05: DeviceIoControl Error! Error Code = 0x1e7
    23:14:05: FOPS - DeviceIoControl Error! Error Code = 0xc0000024 Extended Info (0x000000ec)
Here are the rest of the logs. They were gathered all under normal mode.

Also my wireless card is working again. No other changes since the OP.

Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Now follow these instructions to reset your proxy settings:
    Change Proxy Settings.

Use windows explorer to find and delete:
    C:\Users\Christine Iwerks\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Templates\B0V24IO6JL
    C:\Users\Christine Iwerks\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Templates\GbW53PfLB
    C:\Windows\Temp\100.dat

    * Please download TDSSKiller to your Desktop
    * Extract its contents to your Desktop so that you have TDSSKiller.exe directly on your Desktop and not in any subfolder of the Desktop.
    * Click Start > Run and copy/paste the following bold command into Run box and hit Enter.

    "%userprofile%\Desktop\TDSSKiller.exe" -v

    * Follow the instructions to type in "delete" when it asks you what to do when if finds something.
    * When done, a log file should be created on your C: drive named something like TDSSKiller.2.1.1_27.12.2009_14.17.04_log.txt which is based on the program version # and date and time run. Please attach this log to your next reply.

    Now run Ccleaner!

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:

    * C:\MGlogs.zip
