I'm almost at the point..of buying a mac...

    Ok well i'll sum up this story since I said it like a billion times. A guy put a trojan on my comp 5 weeks ago apparently, told me to be safe, careful, gave my steam acc. pass back, etc. and removed the trojan. But there was a still a problem with my comp. I fixed it with malwarebytes thingy got my keyboard to work in normal mode as it didn't before, but now when I go in normal mode it freezes, eset loads, I let it, it never does, I click something, freeze. Tried multiple times. Please help me!

    I tried on 2 other sites, still trying to fix, and they told me to go on gmer which I did and I have the log. which I will put.
    Also they told me to try combofix. But the problem is which I will also put, If i can, is that it keeps saying some files cannot be found, please exit all applications and restart windows. Which I tried and every time, It loads like the bar fills with blue, mouse acts like something happening, then nothing does. Tried multiple times. I tried renaming too, didn't work. I'm willing to try anything from the beginning as if I tried nothing yet just fyi. I'll do anything to fix this computer. I'd prefer not to try to redownload OS again, that problem made the guy who fixed my comp. I would think annoyed.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    Please read ALL of this message including the notes before doing anything.

    Please follow the instructions in the below link. Make sure that you run Defogger as stated in step 6 to disable disk emulation software or it will make it more difficult to get your PC fixed. Also make sure that you DISABLE all protection software (like ESET) before running ComboFix and MGtools.

    and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
    • **** If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. ****
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not. MGtools will frequently run even when all other tools will not.

    • After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
    Helpful Notes:


    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. If you cannot seem to login to an infected user account, try using a different user account (if you have one) in either normal or safe boot mode and running only SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes while logged into this other user account. Then reboot and see if you can log into the problem user account. If you can then run SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, ComboFix and MGtools on the infected account as requested in the instructions.
    4. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:
    Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.

    Ok I read the read and run me first.
    Ok I'm in safe mode, since everytime I try normal mode, even after the startup all off, (except like ESET antivirus) it freezes, so when I try superantispyware thing in safe mode, won't work since adminsrator bull crap, even though this only acc.
    2nd, Combofix won't work since it says files could not be found ...
    3rd, MGtools download didn't work, it froze I think.
    Malwarebytes thing keeps getting rid of like some but they never like solve a problem really. =o
    Rootrepeal gave me a error, launched but blank screen.
    I just want my problem fixed =(
    Reinstalling my OS is such a hassle =(

    Did you run Defogger as requested???

    SAS cannot be installed in safe boot mode.

    Please be specific. You must give exact word for word error messages. Also ESET must be disabled to download and run ComboFix.

    If necessary, download it on another PC and copy to this PC using a CD or flashdrive. You should also have ESET disable before trying to download and run MGtools.

    Attach the log.
