Major Malware Malfunctioning

Hello;

I've been trying to follow your malware removal guide for the last several days. It's like shoveling the walkway wilst it is still snowing .

I bought a used lap top a few weeks ago, after years of not having a PC at all. To my dismay, it has a couple (atleast) trojans, and a lot of spyware, adware, malware... just a lot of wares... *sigh*. It seems these programs have grown smarter in my cyber absence.

Anyway, back to my problem...

I've only been able to download the first download in your list, everything else says that Internet explorer cannot open the page, thus cannot download the said anti malware program.

I run windows XP pro. on a gateway lap top. I use Avira Antivir for an anti virus. I defrag, scan disk, and clean up regularly.

Do you have any suggestions on what I can do to enable me to download your files?

I suggest you download the tools to another computer and then copy them to a cd. You can then transfer then to the infected machine.

If you have problems where no tools seem to run, please try following the steps given in the below and then continue on no matter what you find. You only need to try the TDSSserv steps if having problems getting scans in the Read & Run Me First.

If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.

Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
